Happy Yule
I hope you all, that celebrate it, are having a happy Yule. I just posted on paganhomeschool about the fun things to do with the kiddos on this festive holiday.
I've pre-cooked the feast for tonight, already have candles burning, read our traditional stories, had ritual....yes I know what you're thinking. A tad early.
Well I've no choice in the matter due to Scrooge of the corporate world...Wal-Mart. I put in for Yule off waaay back in September to no avail. REJECTED. I also put in (back in September)for Dec. 26 so I could visit my brother in West Texas. NOPE! In fact,....Uncle Scrooge has decided on Christmas Eve when we usually close at 6pm, that we now are closing at 8pm! Which means yours truly won't be leaving until 9 or possibly 10 on that night! Thennnn, on the day after Christmas I have to be there at 6am! So much for celebrating the holiday season. :(
So our Yule feast was a luncheon and our ritual was at sunrise. Which as you probably know if you have kids, that just 'thrilled' my teenagers to know...getting up when it's still dark. LOL.
OK, enough ranting. I wish you all a Happy Yule and pray that our next year will be brighter than the last.
